After 5-6 weeks of coding, I’m done with my MVP – But I’m so nervous to press the “launch” button

Title: Navigating Pre-Launch Nerves After Building an MVP

After 5–6 weeks of focused development, my MVP is ready. Yet I’m anxious about hitting the launch button.

I’ve attempted to follow proven methodologies: prioritize problem-solving over ideas, avoid romanticizing the product, move quickly, embrace Lean Startup principles, release early, learn, measure, iterate, and engage with users.

On paper, everything makes sense and I’ve stuck to the process. But there’s a strong personal drive to succeed paired with a fear of failure that isn’t easily dismissed. It feels almost human, not robotic, even though statistics suggest the odds aren’t always in my favor.

For years I’ve dreamed of freelancing or starting my own venture. After a decade as an employee, I finally took the plunge and quit to pursue this path.

I’m preparing to launch the MVP in the coming days. I needed a vent, but the anticipation isn’t pleasant right now.

Has anyone else experienced pre-launch jitters or post-launch dip?

Edit: I appreciate the encouragement. It’s comforting to know there’s a community of founders who understand the emotional terrain. Solo entrepreneurship can feel isolating, but I’m grateful for the support and shared experiences.
